Christmas Is Comming To Town

I am so excited for Christmas to come!  I can't wait to set up our christmas tree and decorate the house!!!  There is only about a week left and I am positive that I won't be able to sleep Christmas Eve. Last year I got quite a few horse things and I was so happy when I got my riding gloves for the show season. Merry Christmas and I hope you all have fun with your family and Friends like I will.

Specktacular Whish Baby

Yesterday we got our 1 1/2 colts papers!!! I am so excited :) His registered name is Specktacular Wish. His birthday is May.23. Speck is a Red Dun colour but he is registered as a paint. He is a solid paint, but he has a little stripe of white just above his hooves. He is very curious and loves to throw around his hay tub, grain bucket, water bucket and just about everything else!! I am so excited for when my mom will start to put the saddle on and lie on his back!!!

Spudly

Spudly is our new 4 month old Pot Bellied Pig. He is soooooo cute!!! He is downstairs right now in a great big horse water tub. We bought him a harness and now we take him for little walks out in the backyard and he loves it!!! Our horses thinks it is crazy to have a pig near then, well I can understand that becasuse they are in the bear family. Spudly is already getting bigger and he waits to go to the bathroom in the morning which keeps his pen really clean! We are hoping that when he gets a little older we will be able to just let him outside with us while we do stuff in the backyard. He is already following us on his leash like a well trained dog and we just started taking him outside. Pigs are very very smart. :b

Riding Lesson

Yesterday I had a riding lesson on Pie. I lunged her for 15 minutes  and got her warmed up for the lesson. Then I tied her up for a bit while I lunged and saddled another horse for my friend. The horses had a lot of energy built up and they had fun running and bucking on the lunge line. My lesson went great and pie was loping nice and slow with her head down. My riding instructor had hus take our feet out of the stirrups while at a working trot. It takes a lot of leg mussels to keep your self planted in the saddle and not leaning to far back or forward. It was a lot of fun and I cna't wait until next saturday and sunday for my lesson!!!

Light Up Parade

Tonight is the Light Up Parade!!! We have been going to this parade since we moved here 8 years ago and only one year it has been cancled because of all the snow. I have actually been in the parade a couple of times for karate..... we decorated a trailor and a semi truck with lights and christmas wreaths and then we sat on hay bales on the trailor and waved in our karate suits. Last year my dad used our truck and pulled the trailor while my brother and sister were waving like crazy out the truck windows:) We can't do a float this year becasue we do not have enough students that are signed up for karate right now. I can't wait for later tonight they sometimes hand out candy. Afterwards we go to timhortans for a hot chocolate and something warm to eat!!!!!!!

Rain, Rain, Go Away.......

Well talk about a lot of rain!!!! Wish it would finaly stop although I am toughing it out by riding with my friend down the road in the pouring rain. Haha some people would call us crazy but it is worth all the hard work because it will all be worth it when the show season comes and everyone elses horses will have had like 2 or 3 months off. Pie is doing great and I am really enjoying my lessons!

My Weekend

This weekend was BUSY!!! On friday I went over to the farm and did stalls, waters, and fed all of the horses, and I slept over at my friends house. On Saturday I woke up early and fed all of the horses and we did stalls and waters and went swimming at the Aquatic Centre for 2 and a half hours. After swimming we came back and fed all of the horses and then went to my friends house to play and have pizza and icecream.

Shae Mare

This is Shae Isn't she a pretty Girl? She is being showed by my moms friend at a Rainbow Show in Showmanship. She is only 8 yrs old. We like shaes colour and pretty face. Look'in great u guys:)

Birthday Party

Today is my brothers and my friends birthday party I am going to sleep over at her house tonight. Today before we go to her house going to do stalls and feed everybody. On Saturday we are going swimming and doing stalls. It will be so much fun I can't wait to go swimming!

Riding Pie

Yesterday I walked Pie down the road to my friends house. We lunged our horses for 10 or 15 minutes then whe got on and rode for a bit. Pie was so good!!!! She was loping slow and getting the right lead and was stopping and jogging around with her head down and collected. I had so much fun riding and brushing her. She looked so pretty after she had a good brush and went in a paddock to eat some grass while we fed the other horses.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everybody! Got lots of candy???? I sure did. I had a lesson today and it went very very well. We worked on our lope-offs and square turns. Pie did really well and we had some nice strides. We brought my best friend to the lesson with her horse Xida. After the lesson we went back to their house and got ready for a bonfire later that night. Roasting Marshmallows and eating chocolate what a great night! I can't wait for Christmas... only 52 days from ow. I can't believe it, it seems like we just had christmas a week ago. Maybe we will get a little bit of snow, not as much as last year I hope. It was fun but a lot of work to feed and water horses.

Baby Pig

Whats Up People??? A few days ago we went and got a baby pot bellied pig!!! We are debating on the name though Spudly....(stud pig) or BoBo??? I like bobo but everyone thinks it sounds like a girlie name... bumble and Spudly or Bobo are going to have babies... They are going to be adorable! I won't want to give them new homes but we can't keep 15 little bumbles and Spudly's or Bobos running around the horse farm. HeHe. I took my mare pie out yesterday and louned her for a while. She was an ANGEL on the lounge line. Then we rde her and she was good. I am so proud of her.... we are practicing really, really, really, REALLY hard for the show season comming. We are determined to win lots and have allot of fun. So far the hard work is paying off big time.

Lounging on the Beach

Snickers&Me on the beach. What a cutey pie!!! We were hot and bored so we drove down to the beach to take him for a walk. He enjoyed going in and out of the water for a while.

Bumble Pig

This is Bumble. She is a year old mini pot belly pig. Bumble has a big personality! She knows her name and loves belly rubs. If you even touch her belly she immediately flops over with this big grunt. Every one luvs bumble and heres her comming as soon as we open the feed bin.

Horses at the Farm

On the top left is a black/white paint. Her name is Oreo. Oreo is 7yrs old and is very sweet. She is my friends moms horse. We love taking her out and bruhing her make that white shine:D

The bottom Left is a 25yr old paint. His name is Major Bonanza. Major is the boss of the farm. He likes to keep the "Younger" horses in line. I loved riding maje man but he is getting older and is now our pasture pony. Major likes to eat sleep and sometimes go for a walk. He always makes us laugh and is a big part in our heart. Maje likes to share a can of coke with you... but I wouldn't call it sharing because when you pry the can out of his mouth it is empty and has probally given you a slime job. Major will always keep this personality and will make sure that the grass is always nicely cut.

Clabs Little Mito aka Xida

This is Xida Bear!!! My friends horse is 17 yrs old and is still very frisky. I love her, and i think she loves me...especially when i have treats:) Xida use to be roomates with my horse pie and they were very attached to each other. Xida is an English /Western pleasure horse and excells in pretty much everything. My best friend and I have gone to all of the shows together and were very proud of our horses!

THE VIEX

This is me and my horse Pie at the VIEX. We took our 5th wheel and camped there for the weekend. I took pie in the Western Walk/Jog classes and we got two 1st's a 3rd and a 4th... I was really proud of her.

Horse Show

This is a picture of me and pie waiting to do our games run!!! so exciting.... on our scurry she jumped over all of the jump and raced home. Same thing happened with key hole we did our turn in the keyhole and raced for home when we were actually only supposed to do walk jog. I had allot of fun and i did well in my Western pleasure and trail classes.
I am very proud of her and can't wait for this months VIMY show and the VIEX in August

Horse Show

I had a great show on May.31 I ended up riding my horse pie instead of Gambler because he was acting up alot and i couldn't control him. I got walk/jog reserve highpoint on pie and won lots of ribbons.

Horse Show

On Sunday is my Horse SHOW!!!!! I am so excited. I will be riding Gambler. I am going to be in all the Jr.b classes which are walk, jog,lope, and sometimes we are asked to side pass and different things like that. Kerry Walton

On friday I am going over to my friends house so that we can do a big Showman-Ship class and In Hand Trail. There is a 15 or so horses comming to learn and practice for my show on Sunday. Speck

Here is a picture of Speck .He is so funny ,when we feed him his hay he lies down beside it and eats it. :) Yesterday my mom trailered him to my friends house to brush and play with him in the ring. He loves attention!!!

Gambler Man

This is a picture of gambler posing for the camera:) Yesterday when I rode him I worked on my western pleasure jog, and keeping his head collected. He moves really nice once he is relaxed. I can't wait until my first Horse Show in May.

Montana

This is a picture of my sister hugging a miniature horse. His name is Montana. He is 12 yr old cutie who lets my sister brush and ride him. I saddle him up and lead my sister and her friends on him. He is the perfect size. They have a blast!!!

Easter

Happy Easter!!! This year my cousin and grandparents came up for Easter. The day before Easter we played outside on the trampoline and ran around in the back-yard. I woke up very early and ate some of my candy. We had a roast for dinner that night with my grandparents. It was allot of fun. I got lots of chocolate and candy.

Riding Gambler

Today I went and rode my horse Gambler. I was working on keeping his head collected. When he head was in the right place he slowed down and was smooth to ride. I also worked on my lope , slowing him down and sitting up straight on him. I was very proud of him today. My first Show is in May, our riding club is called Vimy. I am so excited!!!

In this picture i am only 7 yrs old!!! I am riding my old Horse Tucker who will be turning 29 in June. My mom use to do allot of barrel racing, and trail riding with him. He is a very Sweet man. I would ride him in my back yard by myself in the summer. We still take him for walks around the field every once in a while and he enjoys himself.

My Gambie Man

Spectacular Wish

On March.11 I went to Salt Spring Island, what i didn't know was that we were going over there to look at a baby horse (a colt). We came to the end of what was a long driveway, when We saw someone who was ponying a baby horse while riding her 3 yr old rescue horse named "Flicka". Getting off of her horse she introduced us to "Spectacular Wish". He was so cute!!! The lady said that she called him Speck. She came up with the name because of her wish ride for a charity that she rides in every year. Speck was born the day of her wish ride. He is only 10 months old and will be a year in May. When we brought him home he was very excited and full of energy. He is now a new member of our family.
