Horses, Horses, Horses.

Somewhere behind the rider you’ve become, the hours of practice you’ve put in, the couches that have pushed you, the hard falls you’ve taken, the money you’ve spent, the long distances you’ve hailed, the ‘normal’ things you’ve given upm the strides, the sweat, the tears, the blood,  the blisters, the ripped jeans, the suede chaps on 100 degree summer days, the lame horse, the crazy horse, the ‘are you serious?’ horse and everything in between. Somewhere behind all of this is the little girl who fell in love with the sport, the horse, the idea, and never looked back.

Show, Show SHOW!!!!

Well my Show is now in 4 days!!! I am really excited to start bathing, clipping, and cleaning tack; it almost feels like summer :).My little sister wil be going in Lead-line on Pie this year. Hopefully they will do well :) :).

My mom is getting Spectacular Wish ready because she is going to take him in the Halter classes. She is going to try and Walk/Trot him maybe at the last or last two shows this year :D.

Spudly, our pot bellied pig is getting fatter, and has grown a little bit. He loves going outside in his little house, and sleeping all day. We are hoping that we can start getting Bumble, the female pot bellied pig together with spudly more often :p.

This week I am looking after my friends barn because they took 3 of their horses to a show in Washington. It will be very busy on Sunday because I need to wake up earlier than a usual show day to lunge pie, put the horses down the road out and clean out their stalls.

I will post a blog of how Imacoolpieceofpie and I do on Sunday :) :D ;)

Eagle Farm Update :)

So many things have happened in the past couple of months!!! First, Our little colt got rode on May.3 2010!!! It was so amazing watching him lope for the first time in his little life. We were all joking saying how he had to go out and put on his "big boy" saddle :D Other good news is, we just got back from Disneyland, and Pie is working fabulously!!! I'm stoked for the Show in two weeks! We are going to kick some but... hopefully :) Anyways, tomorrow I am going to the Horse Expo to Support my club on Saturday and Sunday.

Happy Summer (Almost) ;)

Horsey Update! :D

Heeey everyone! I know that I haven't written an update on my mare pie and I, but I have been so busy with riding everyday, school, and sports! :) I decided to try something nerw and change my template... i like the colours of it instead of the pink one that I used to have. Our first show this year is May.31, I am so excited! We tried a new bit on pie the other day and it worked miracles on her! It was like I was riding a different hoorse; she was comming into frame nicely with a nice loose rein, and she loped and jogged off wonderfully! I hope that we do well at our first show, but it might be a little tough for her to get back into the swing of things.
Another exciting thing to announce is that we rode our colt for the first time a few weeks ago! It was so cool to watch him walking around, he looked at my moms boot as if to say "Hey, what are you doing up there?" My mom is going to take him to the shows this year for some showmanship and halter classes. It will be his first time at a show, so he will be looking around a lot. Can't Wait!!!
